Valorant Patch Day Checklist: What to Check When Something Stops Working

What's your checklist when Valorant updates and suddenly refuses to launch or behaves strangely? I'm looking for the sensible stuff to check before blaming the patch.

Replies are closedOfficial service status first. Saves a lot of unnecessary troubleshooting.
Then restart the client. I swear half my tech support career is restarting things.
Check the installed game version and whether the update completed successfully.
If the game launches but crashes, note when it happens and any error message. "It broke" isn't much to go on.
My bug report would be "game crashed, confidence also crashed."
Keep a note of the patch version and the steps that reproduce the issue. That's more useful than immediately reinstalling everything.
